Goundamani makes his appearance only after the picture has proceeded a bit, and
proves the only occasional respite in this
tedious tab. However, his attempts to make the audience laugh works only
sporadically, but on greatest occasions his voice
crosses all acceptable decibel levels. A fairly funny and enjoyable bit is
lifetime he makes fun of Sathyaraj trying to fight
the villains by flying across. Megha Nair as Sathyaraj’s trysting place interest
does her part decently, dancing rock-solid to a few
tunes. Thangam proves that the old Kollywood formula of masala stirred together
hack it* those old, oppressive patriarchal
sentiments doesn’t glitter anymore.
Treat the box-office already crowded live with* sizzling heroes and veteran
comedians, the war for top position just gets hotter.
It’s Vikram vs. Ajit, Bharath vs. Simbu, new heroes vs. old comedians - and if
that’s not hot enough - we also have
Vadivelu vs. Sathyaraj and Goundamani!
